Electrolux strives to improve the organization’s leadership capability and work climate through employees’ feedback. Electrolux uses the Employee Attitude Survey (EAS), an online tool that aims to provide structured upward feedback for managers and to facilitate team development.
EAS has two components:
- a survey to provide upward feedback: It facilitates for employees to give feedback towards their manager and work environment.
- a change process to facilitate team development: Follow up of the survey, seeing the area of strength and weakness within the unit / organization proceeded by a follow up discussion between managers and employees for future improvement.
In 2008 approximately 10.000 employees have participated in the survey. EAS is carried out by respective teams/departments/functions/product lines at different organization levels. The outcome is a more effective and action-oriented team development agenda.
EAS allows employees to anonymously provide feedback on 6 dimensions using 1-5 attitude scale. The dimensions are:
- motivation and trust,
- empowerment,
- goal setting,
- coaching,
- communication and
- collaborative environment.
